King strike gives Watford advantage at break
Watford 1 Fulham 0
Marlon King’s 23rd-minute strike put gave Watford a half-time lead over Fulham and put the Hornets on course their first Barclays Premiership win of the season.
King slotted in his second goal of the campaign following outstanding work from Ashley Young, who had released his team-mate with a brilliant chipped pass.
Hameur Bouazza twice went close for an energetic home side, while Fulham’s best chance was squandered by Moritz Volz, before Franck Queudrue was unlucky not to score with a 30-yard free-kick.
