West Ham manager Alan Pardew believes the signings of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano have put the Hammers on the road to becoming one of the Premiership’s big guns.

Even when times were tough at Upton Park, Pardew never hid his desire to establish West Ham among the leading clubs in England and Europe.
