Magpies aim to win Kuyt battle

Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder has admitted he faces competition if he is to bring Dutch striker Dirk Kuyt to St James’ Park.

Roeder will be in Dublin tonight to watch the Feyenoord hitman in action for his country once again but knows a player who has been linked with Liverpool among other clubs throughout the summer has options.
