Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg has been named the new Sweden captain by coach Lars Lagerback.

Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg has been named the new Sweden captain by coach Lars Lagerback.

Ljungberg has been handed the captain’s armband after Aston Villa skipper Olof Mellberg chose to stand down.
