Rooney willing to extend United deal

Wayne Rooney wants to follow in the footsteps of Manchester United veterans Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs by staying at the club “as long as they have”.

Rooney, 20, arrived at Old Trafford in 2004 and although he is tied to a long-term contract would be willing to extend his deal.
