Fortune set to seal Bolton move
Quinton Fortune will seal his move to Bolton tomorrow, according to his agent.
The South African midfielder is expected to put pen to paper following the behind-closed-doors game against Rangers later today.
Fortune has been training with the club for the past few weeks after being released by Manchester United.
He had been tipped to sign for Celtic, only for the Glasgow giants to go cold on the deal.
Fortune’s agent Francis Martin told PA Sport: “We expect the deal to be concluded tomorrow as Bolton have a game in Scotland.
“Everything has been agreed in principle.”
Fortune is hoping to get his career back on track and stay injury-free.
His career at Old Trafford was dogged by various problems and he spent long days in the treatment room.
Martin said: “Quinton has been training hard with Bolton and his fitness is not an issue.
“He has been delighted at the treatment received from the backroom staff.
“He is looking forward to wearing Bolton’s colours and getting some regular games under his belt.”
The former Atletico Madrid player can operate either in central midfield or on the left-hand side and also played at left-back during his time at United.
His experience would also be valuable as Bolton look to consolidate their position as a top-10 Premiership club.
