Former Rangers manager Dick Advocaat has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to coach Russian Premier League side Zenit St Petersburg.

Former Rangers manager Dick Advocaat has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to coach Russian Premier League side Zenit St Petersburg.

Advocaat stepped down as South Korea coach after they were eliminated from the World Cup on Friday and is set to arrive in St Petersburg on July 3.

The 58-year-old has confirmed he will be bringing two Korean internationals to the club, defender Kim Dong Jin and midfielder Lee Ho.

Advocaat guided Holland to the quarter-finals of the 1994 World Cup and the semi-finals of Euro 2004 in two spells as the Dutch head coach.

He has also coached PSV Eindhoven in club football.
