Longford come from behind to beat Bohs
Longford Town 3 Bohemians 1
Longford more than doubled their goal tally for the season as they came from behind to earn their first win of the campaign against an abject Bohemians at Flancare park.
Bohs celebrated their new found wealth following the sake of Dalymount Park by taking a sixth minute lead when player/boss Gareth Farrelly shot home the loose ball after Longford failed to clear a Stephen Rice long throw.
Shay Kelly made an agile tip over save from John Paul Kelly while Kevin Hunt was inches off target from long range as Town held on to slowly come into the game and equalise on the half hour.
Andy Myler’s flick put the hard-working Dessie Baker away down the right and his low cross found Alan Kirby at the back post to exact a composed finish.
Town dominated the second half and Dessie Baker capped a fine display when shooting them in front on 67 minutes.
Davy Byrne clinched the win 15 minutes from time when side footing home after good work by Kirby and Sean Prunty.
