Double doubt for Boro

Middlesbrough skipper Gareth Southgate and striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink are major doubts for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash against Everton.

Southgate and Hasselbaink limped off with hamstring injuries during last night’s remarkable 4-2 UEFA Cup semi-final victory over Steaua Bucharest.

Mark Viduka was left feeling the effects of the thigh problem which had kept him out of the previous two games, while Mark Schwarzer (fractured cheekbone), Gaizka Mendieta (metatarsal) and Emanuel Pogatetz (facial fracture) are out for the season.
