Trio to return for Middlesbrough

Gareth Southgate, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Stewart Downing should return for Middlesbrough’s FA Cup quarter-final replay with Charlton at The Riverside tomorrow.

The trio all missed Sunday’s 2-1 home loss to Newcastle with various niggles, with Southgate now poised to play his 200th match for the club.

Franck Queudrue, though, is “touch and go” with a head injury, while Andrew Davies is cup-tied for what will be Boro’s 22nd cup match of the season.
