Arsenal look set to be without Freddie Ljungberg for the best part of two weeks after the midfielder suffered a recurrence of a calf injury.

The Sweden international, 28, had just returned to the side after missing the recent defeat at Blackburn with a similar problem.

Ljungberg picked up the latest minor strain just 15 minutes into Sunday’s Barclays Premiership clash against Liverpool at Highbury, which the Gunners won 2-1.

He will definitely miss this weekend’s clash with Charlton, and faces a race against time to be match fit for the trip to Portsmouth on March 26.
