Wilson: Title in Celtic's sights

Celtic starlet Mark Wilson believes the Bank of Scotland Premier League championship is now within sight, but he has warned against complacency.

The Glasgow giants need just 13 points from their last nine games to regain the crown they threw away in spectacular style last season.

Self-confessed Hoops fan Wilson, who moved to Parkhead from Dundee United in January, watched from a pub in amazement as Rangers snatched the title on the final day of the last SPL campaign.

But the 21-year-old is convinced his team-mates have learned from that nightmare and will not make the same mistake again.

Celtic beat Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road on Sunday and Wilson said: “It’s a big gap but we know we can’t get complacent.

“All you can do is keep winning your game and hopefully others will slip up and we can win this championship quicker.

“It is a massive gap but it can be closed if we start taking our foot off the pedal and start slipping up.

“The main focus is to win every game. It is in sight but we’ve got to keep going.”
