Eircom League fines Sligo boss over ref comments

Sligo Rovers manager Sean Connor has been fined €1,200 and warned about his future conduct after criticising an eircom League referee earlier this year.

Connor's comments were published in newspapers which brought them to the attention of the eircom League and they acted under a new rule passed last November which allows the League to take action against managers or players who make critical comments in the media.
