Horsfield joins Blades
Sheffield United have completed the loan signing of West Brom striker Geoff Horsfield.
The 32-year-old will stay at Bramall Lane until the end of the season with a view to signing a permanent deal in the summer.
“I’m pleased to be coming back to Yorkshire. Sheffield United are flying at the moment, and this is a great chance to get back in the Premiership,” said former Birmingham and Wigan target man Horsfield.
“I’ve stepped down a league, but this is a great chance to get straight back up. I’m delighted it’s done and that I can come back up to Yorkshire and complete the deal,” Barnsley-born Horsfieldtold the Blades’ official club website.
Horsfield endured an unhappy last appearance for West Brom on Saturday when his side went down 6-1 to Fulham, another of his former clubs.
