Solskjaer could make reserves return

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could return to action this week with a run-out for Manchester United’s reserve side.

The Norwegian striker has been suffering from a hamstring injury, although it is not related to the knee problems which have caused him so much misery.

Solskjaer, 32, had to endure a 19-month absence from the game following surgery.

He battled his way back to fitness and returned to the first-team squad but last featured in the FA Cup replay against Burton before being troubled by the hamstring.

However he is now on the mend and might be included in the reserve side to face Aston Villa on Thursday.
