Manchester United captain Gary Neville has denied the Football Association charge of improper conduct relating to his goal celebrations during the 1-0 win over Liverpool.

Neville was accused of inciting the Liverpool supporters following Rio Ferdinand’s injury-time winner at Old Trafford on January 22.

The England full-back has requested a personal hearing which will be scheduled in due course.
