No mouse problem at Theatre of Dreams

Manchester United have denied having a mouse problem at Old Trafford.

Immediately after last night’s FA Cup replay, a number of Burton players claimed they saw a mouse close to the players’ tunnel in the south-west corner of the stadium.

United officials have been deluged by calls today, demanding an explanation for the unusual spectator.

But while the club insist such occurrences are uncommon, they admit it is not totally unheard of.

“Like all public places, from time-to-time, we do find mice near or inside the stadium,” said a United spokeswoman.

“When they are found they are dealt with as a matter of course. There is no mice problem at Manchester United.”
