The former Hearts chairman Wallace Mercer has died, according to a statement from the club.

The former Hearts chairman Wallace Mercer has died, according to a statement from the club.

Mr Mercer passed away this afternoon at Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital following a short battle with cancer. He was 59.
