United plan early Best silence

Manchester United officials have urged supporters to be in their seats by 7.45pm at Old Trafford tonight.

Because of the cold weather, the club have decided to hold the minute’s silence in honour of George Best immediately after the teams have made their way onto the pitch for the Carling Cup tie with West Brom, allowing time for the players to warm up again in time for the 8pm kick-off.
