Valente could make Toffees return
Everton could have Portuguese left-back Nuno Valente back for Sunday’s Barclays Premiership encounter with Newcastle at Goodison Park.
The former Porto star returned to full training this week after a month out with a hamstring injury.
Everton physio Mick Rathbone said: “He did well in training on Monday, and afterwards he told me he’d felt completely OK.”
The Toffees, who will want to bounce back from their defeat at West Brom on Saturday, could also have Italian defender Matteo Ferrari back for the trip to Blackburn on Saturday week.
He is back running again after damaging an ankle against Middlesbrough in the Carling Cup on October 26.
