Henchoz hoping for Switzerland recall

Wigan defender Stephane Henchoz has issued an open invitation to Switzerland coach Kobi Kuhn to stop by the JJB Stadium this winter as he looks for World Cup players.

Henchoz has not played for the Swiss for the last seven months, but last night watched with pride as the country reached next summer’s World Cup finals in Germany with an away-goals play-off victory over Turkey.
