The head of the new Wembley stadium has admitted there are no guarantees it will be completed in time to stage next year’s FA Cup final.

Michael Cunnah, chief executive of Wembley National Stadium Ltd, claimed a severe winter could cause problems for builders Multiplex, who have already admitted they are losing money on the £757m (€1.125bn) project.
