Blackburn manager Mark Hughes made two changes as his side looked for a fifth straight victory at Ewood Park.

Steven Reid started his first game since October 1 with Robbie Savage out with a leg injury, while Hughes preferred Paul Dickov in attack ahead of a benched Shefki Kuqi.

Charlton, protecting a 100% away record this season, had Darren Bent back in the side after the striker missed last week’s 1-0 home defeat to Bolton through illness.

Jay Bothroyd made way and was among the substitutes, with Brian Hughes also recalled ahead of Alexei Smertin who sustained a groin injury against Sam Allardyce’s side.
