Ferguson fears fans' demolition job

Alex Ferguson has pleaded with disgruntled Manchester United fans not to crush the confidence of his young players.

The vast Red Devils’ travelling army turned on their team in the aftermath of Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to Lille, responding with abusive words and gestures as the players went to applaud them for their support after the final whistle.
