Leeds clinch Miller loan deal

Leeds have signed Manchester United midfielder Liam Miller on loan until the end of December.

The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international has found his first-team chances limited at Old Trafford since joining from Celtic last July.

Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell told the club’s official website, www.leedsunited.com: “I felt it was right to bring someone in because we need to make sure we are covered in midfield over these next few months.

“We have a few players one card away from a suspension and if I lose one of them then my options are limited. Bringing Liam in allows us to cover midfield and also to freshen things up.”

Miller is included in the squad to face Preston at Elland Road tomorrow.
