Henry set for return

Thierry Henry is set to return to Arsenal’s side for tomorrow’s Champions League clash against Sparta Prague after being rested for the weekend draw at Tottenham.

Henry, who returned from a lengthy lay-off for the away tie in Prague, was kept out of the clash at White Hart Lane to rest his groin but will return at Highbury.

Arsene Wenger revealed: “We tested Thierry quite severely in training on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the response is okay. If there was the slightest risk, I wouldn’t take it but I feel that I will start him tomorrow.”

Freddie Ljungberg is nevertheless ruled out of tomorrow’s game with a hamstring injury, even though he could return for Saturday’s game against Sunderland, while Ashley Cole and Alexander Hleb are long-term absentees.

Provisional squad: Lehmann, Almunia, Lauren, Eboue, Clichy, Campbell, Toure, Cygan, Senderos, Gilberto, Fabregas, Flamini, Song, Pires, Reyes, van Persie, Henry, Bergkamp, Owusu-Abeyie.
