Scotland’s stand-in skipper Christian Dailly admits the players are as much to blame as Football Association chief David Taylor and former manager Berti Vogts for the failure to qualify for the World Cup finals.

The team are trying to pick up the pieces after their absence from next summer’s finals in Germany was confirmed following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Belarus at Hampden Park and Norway’s home win over Moldova later that day.
