Owen relishes chance to make amends

Michael Owen vowed to lead England’s World Cup qualifying recovery act against Austria this weekend and make amends for letting down the fans in their embarrassing defeat in Belfast.

Owen missed Newcastle’s Barclays Premiership game against Portsmouth last Saturday due to a dead leg sustained in a training ground collision with team-mate Steven Taylor.
