James drifts out of picture

David James is facing a battle to revive his international career after being left out of England’s squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Northern Ireland.

James and Glen Johnson paid the price for England’s embarrassing collapse in Denmark earlier this month, having been two of the four half-time substitutes whose introduction contributed to the 4-1 defeat.
