Luque in Magpies squad

Albert Luque will go straight into the Newcastle squad for Sunday’s Barclays Premiership clash with Manchester United if he completes his £9.5m (€13.9m) move later today.

The 27-year-old Spaniard could be joined by midfielders Kieron Dyer and Emre, who have shaken off back and hamstring injuries respectively to give themselves a chance of returning.

Titus Bramble (elbow), Craig Moore (hamstring) and Michael Chopra (knee) remain on the sidelines.
