Marlet opts for Germany challenge

Fulham striker Steve Marlet is hoping to get his career back on track in Germany, where he is set to sign with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old striker cost Fulham £11.5m (€16.9m) in 2001 when he joined from Lyon but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Marseille after falling out of favour at Craven Cottage following the exit of then boss and fellow Frenchman Jean Tigana.
