Zenden makes Reds debut

Middlesbrough old boy Bolo Zenden was handed an immediate return to the Riverside Stadium as European champions Liverpool launched their Barclays Premiership campaign on Teesside.

The Dutch midfielder shook of a thigh injury to line up against his former club in place of John Arne Riise in one of just two changes to the side which beat CSKA Sofia 3-1 in midweek with Mohamed Sissoko coming in for Djibril Cisse, who was named among the substitutes.
