Leicester snap up Johansson

Leicester have signed Sweden defender Nils-Eric Johansson on a free transfer after he was released by Blackburn.

Johansson has agreed a two-year deal and becomes manager Craig Levein’s fifth capture of the summer.

The 25-year-old told the club’s website, www.lcfc.co.uk: “Leicester made their interest in me known pretty early on in the summer.

“I was out of contract with Blackburn so I came to have a look around the Walkers Stadium and the training facilities. I was really impressed with what I saw.

“The whole place is built for the Premier League and it is our job now to put the club back where they belong.”
