Blues told to up Basinas offer

Birmingham have been told they will have to increase their offer by approximately 50% if they want to sign Greek international midfielder Angelos Basinas from Panathinaikos.

Birmingham’s initial bid of approaching £400,000 (€603,000) for 29-year-old Basinas was rejected earlier in the week.
