The Republic of Ireland squad finally returned home to Dublin this morning after being forced to spend another night in the Faroe Islands.

Manager Brian Kerr and his players, along with the Football of Association of Ireland officials, were scheduled to fly back immediately after last night’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying win in Torshavn, with goals from Ian Harte and Kevin Kilbane.
