Campbell back for Gunners

Sol Campbell made a long-awaited return after injury in Arsenal’s clash against Everton at Highbury as he looked to press his claims for an FA Cup final place.

Campbell, whose last appearance was on February 1 against Manchester United, when he sustained an ankle injury, has been on the bench for the past four games.

However, while Philippe Senderos kept his place, Kolo Toure was handed a rest as Campbell returned to the starting line-up against Everton.

Dennis Bergkamp was also back in the side, while Thierry Henry was on the bench as he looked to make his comeback after a groin injury as a substitute.

Keeper Richard Wright returned to the Everton side for the first time in just over three months, while Tony Hibbert came through a fitness test on a knee problem.

Tim Cahill was nevertheless out with a back injury, while Alan Stubbs, who came on as a substitute against Newcastle after a shoulder injury, remained on the bench.
