Moyes backs Reds' Euro claims

Everton manager David Moyes believes Merseyside rivals Liverpool “should have the opportunity” to contest the Champions League next season if they win it this month, after the Toffees beat them to the last qualification spot.

Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat by Arsenal on Sunday meant they cannot displace Everton from fourth place in the Premiership as the Reds remain six points behind their city rivals but only have one league game left this season.
