Lehmann gets European ban

Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been suspended for two European matches by UEFA after twice throwing water over the referee and his assistant following the Gunners’ elimination from Europe by Bayern Munich.

The Germany international was referred to UEFA’s disciplinary committee following the incident at Highbury after Arsenal had lost 3-2 on aggregate to the German side.
