Okocha returns for Nigeria

Bolton captain Jay-Jay Okocha has declared himself fit for Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against Gabon tomorrow.

The 31-year-old has been struggling with a hamstring injury and was on the bench at the weekend when Norwich were defeated by the Trotters.

He insisted the problem was over, telling Nigerian journalists: “I know I am 100% fit for the game.”

Okocha added: “We all know that we are in a difficult position regarding the World Cup campaign and can’t afford to slip any more.”
