Ireland maintains FIFA position
The Republic of Ireland is still in 12th place in the FIFA world rankings. Northern Ireland continued in 111th place.
England remained unchanged in eighth but both Wales and Scotland slid. Wales have fallen six places to 71st despite not playing in the past month.
Scotland fell only one place, down to 88th, but Wales’ slide was the second largest in the top 100.
They have been overtaken by teams from the CONCACAF region of North America, Central America and the Caribbean who have been involved in qualifying action for the Gold Cup.
Both Cuba and Guatemala took giant leaps of 11 and eight places respectively to enter the top 60.
The top 10 remained largely unchanged, with Brazil topping the rankings, followed by France and Argentina.
The Czech Republic, Spain, Mexico and Holland follow – the Dutch slipping from joint sixth to seventh – with England eighth, Portugal ninth and Italy and the United States, who climb a place, sharing 10th.
