United start keeper search as Carroll prepares to leave

Manchester United are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper after it was revealed Roy Carroll is set to leave in the summer.

Northern Ireland ‘keeper Carroll has so far failed to negotiate a new contract at Old Trafford and the club are preparing to find his replacement.

United chief executive David Gill today revealed the club had identified possible replacements should Carroll walk away and leave United with just Tim Howard as an experienced keeper.
