Lampard looks to win battle with Gerrard

Frank Lampard has set his sights on overcoming one of the finest midfielders in Europe – Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard – to win the first major medal of his career in tomorrow’s Carling Cup final.

Lampard and Gerrard could have been lining up together for club and country this season if the Liverpool captain had not completed a late U-turn on a proposed move to Chelsea.
