AC Milan will set a new club record for gate receipts at the San Siro when Manchester United visit on March 8.

The Italian giants today announced on their website www.acmilan.it they have sold all of the available 78,957 tickets worth €2.4m for next month’s return leg.

Milan go into the game with a 1-0 advantage after Hernan Crespo’s strike in Wednesday’s first leg at Old Trafford.

United had already sold out of their 8,000 ticket allocation for the game.

Milan’s record attendance in the Champions League is 79,855, set in the semi-final second leg against Paris St Germain in 1995.
