Bridge ruled out for the season

Chelsea left-back Wayne Bridge will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a double fracture of his left ankle.

Bridge returned home last night after being carried off on a stretcher during yesterday’s FA Cup fifth-round defeat at Newcastle.
