Magpies Cup tie gets go-ahead

Newcastle’s FA Cup fifth-round clash with Chelsea will go ahead this afternoon unless there are further heavy snowfalls on Tyneside.

Match referee Mark Halsey gave the go-ahead after a morning pitch inspection at St James’ Park following overnight snow.
