Jarosik completes move to Chelsea

Chelsea have made their first signing of the January transfer window, bringing in Czech Republic midfielder Jiri Jarosik from CSKA Moscow.

The Czech player joins Chelsea on a two-and-a-half-year deal from the Russian side and is eligible to play immediately.

The 27-year-old told the club’s official website, www.chelseafc.com: “I’m very happy and proud to have joined a club like Chelsea – it’s like a dream come true for me.

“I hope I will become an important part of the squad and help Chelsea to achieve their goals for the season.

“It’s a great challenge for me and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity.”
