Senderos set for Premiership debut

Swiss teenager Philippe Senderos will make his Premiership debut at the heart of Arsenal’s defence at home to Manchester City tomorrow.

Sol Campbell has been ruled out of the game at Highbury, as well as the FA Cup tie against Stoke on Sunday, after twisting his ankle in the weekend victory at Charlton.

With Pascal Cygan still absent with a back problem, 19-year-old Senderos will partner Kolo Toure in central defence.

Justin Hoyte will continue to deputise at right-back for Lauren, who is still sidelined with a knee injury.

Jose Reyes, Dennis Bergkamp and Mathieu Flamini are still absent, so Robin van Persie should continue in attack, while Robert Pires will return after being rested.

Team (from): Almunia, Lehmann, Hoyte, Cole, Clichy, Toure, Senderos, Larsson, Vieira, Fabregas, Pires, Ljungberg, Pennant, Henry, van Persie.
