Kluivert out for Gunners clash

Newcastle striker Patrick Kluivert is out of his side’s tough Barclays Premiership clash with Arsenal tomorrow night.

The Dutchman aggravated a hamstring injury during the 2-2 draw at Blackburn on St Stephen's Day and manager Graeme Souness is facing a new selection headache up front with Shola Ameobi struggling to shake off a shoulder problem and skipper Alan Shearer still on the sidelines, although back in training, with his thigh strain.

Lee Bowyer is available after serving a one-match ban and Kieron Dyer is expected to recover from a knock to his knee picked up at Ewood Park, but Stephen Carr (knee), Nicky Butt, Ronny Johnsen and Darren Ambrose (all hamstring) are still out.
