A goal in each half from Thierry Henry and Robert Pires enabled champions Arsenal to keep the pressure on Barclays Premiership leaders Chelsea.

The Gunners remain five points adrift of their West London rivals after Jose Mourinho’s men also claimed three points with a St Stephen's Day win over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
