Gill predicts Giggs will stay at United

Manchester United chief executive David Gill has predicted Ryan Giggs will see out the remainder of his career at Old Trafford even though the Welshman’s contract dispute still rumbles on.

Gill is refusing to break club policy by offering Giggs, who recently passed 600 games for the Old Trafford outfit, the two-year contract he has asked for, insisting he will only give the winger a one-season extension to his current deal, which expires in 18 months’ time.
